Personality:

I N D E P E N D E N T โ€” Ever since Lincoln was a boy his people have been trying to make him into a monster. He's consistently resisted over and over. As a young boy a man in a pod fell to the ground from space and Lincoln did everything he could to look after the man. Until the language barrier was too great so he sought out his father for help. His father made Lincoln kill the man due to him being an outsider. Lincoln doesn't want to be the man his clan desire him to be. His desire for independence has put him in hot water numerous times in the past. For a while in season one he lived in a cave separated from his village, Tondc, farther away. He's refused to let them mold them into a weapon and clung to his own way of doing things to the point of them trying to kill him.

V E N G E F U L โ€” This really only comes out when he's been crossed in any way. Initially Lincoln has no reason to hate the Delinquents. He even goes out of his way to aid them in secret. It's when they attack him and take him hostage that he gets angry. He could have at any time told the Delinquents he had poison on his blade. Instead he let the poison take it's course and allowed them to hold him. When they started torturing him for the antidote it only seemed to make Lincoln not to want to give it to them more. He was willing to let Finn die despite previously having saved them out in the forest because of how they treated him. The only reason he gives them the antidote is because Octavia cuts herself with the same blade to force his hand when they realize he has a soft spot for her. Despite him liking Finn later in the season when Finn slaughters eighteen innocent Grounders from his village he wants him to receive his punishment. Even knowing the brutality and agony behind it. When he finds Cage Wallace in the forest Lincoln doesn't just gut him and be done with it. Cage was responsible for turning him into a Reaper. Lincoln uses the red drug and injects it into Cage killing him in an agonizing way after cutting off his hand.

L O Y A L โ€” Most would call loyalty a good trait, but for Lincoln it's far more negative. When you earn Lincoln's loyalty it's something that runs bone deep within him. For as much as his clan believes in loyalty they can and will exile you if you go against them. They will hunt you and make you a target. Lincoln's loyalty to his Octavia has almost been his downfall a few times. Because he betrayed his clan to protect Octavia's people he was sentenced to a death by a 1,000 cuts. When Octavia was dying he was forced to go to his people to get the antidote for the poison in her system. He knew what his fate would be, but he didn't care. Lincoln manages to somehow earn his way back into his clan's good graces, but once again a situation arises when he must make a choice. Octavia (and Skaikru) or his clan. He chooses Octavia once again. Because of this Lincoln spends most of season three with a kill order hanging over him making it impossible for him to leave Arkadia without being hunted. His loyalty eventually is what kills him. When he's moments away from escaping his execution he's lured back by Charles Pike threatening to kill the sick Grounders still interned in Arkadia. Lincoln is still loyal to the Trikru clan so he returns to Pike and allows him to put a bullet in his head on the condition he doesn't harm his people.

K I N D โ€” Lincoln helps Octavia without a second thought when she hurts herself out in the forest. He tries to keep her safe and help her injuries despite her thinking he's just another Grounder. She spends most of that time afraid of him. Even before he begins his actual relationship with Octavia he blows the acid fog warning horn to draw his people away when they're about to attack the Delinquents. He has time and time again put himself shoulder to shoulder with them in their fight to be accepted on the ground. He arranged a peace talk between Anya and Clarke in the hopes that the bloodshed stops. When Lexa pulls the Grounder forces out of the Mount Weather fight he pleads with her to let him stay and help the Skaikru. They take Lincoln prisoner and drag him away under extreme protest from him.

P A T I E N T โ€” Octavia Blake is his girlfriend which should be explanation enough. He has the patience and ability to teach her his language and about his culture while he's trying to get her to safety. She gets more frustrated, but Lincoln urges her to keep going. In season three when Charles Pike starts to stir up the hatred for Grounders among the people in Arkadia it's Lincoln who tries not to let the anger and misguided rage get the better of him. At one point a man throws a large chunk of rock at him and tells him he doesn't belong there. Others try to urge Lincoln to press charges, but he refuses and only wants to show them that his people can live in peace with them. Octavia tries to urge him to leave with her, but it's Lincoln who wants to stay and stick this out.

P R O T E C T I V E โ€” Ever since he was a little boy he's always felt the need to protect people. Especially those who cannot protect themselves. Sometimes that requires violence and force. Sometimes it requires words. Despite him believing that Octavia is a fierce warrior he feels the need to protect her at times. Especially when Pike threatens to kill his people. He drugs her and hands her off to Kane to get to safety so he can go back and give himself up. This even goes towards people who have given up on him. When Indra is shot he does everything he can to protect her. She consistently refuses his help as well. Calling him reaper and traitor. When Pike tries to have the other prisoners executed along with him, Kane and Sinclair he lobbies verbally to spare them. Insisting that they had no idea of the plan and only did what anyone would do.

Powers and Abilities: As a human Lincoln has no superpowers or anything extreme, but his abilities are rather extensive. While it's not so much a superpower as it is genetic evolution, Lincoln is immune to low level radiation as a Grounder. Lincoln was born into the Trikru clan. As a boy he was trained to fight and ended up joining the warrior group. Because he was a member of the warriors he was taught English as well. This made him bilingual in Trigedasleng and English (Gonasleng). Lincoln is a warrior. He's been trained in hand to hand combat, melee weapons, bows, as well as spears. Lincoln has survival training that he learned from his clan growing up. While he isn't technically a healer he does know various herbs and poultices for healing and such. Lincoln is an extremely lethal individual, but he's also a talented artist. He has a journal filled with sketches.
